Clovis Lane Fam Fundraiser

An Experimental Documentary Film By Zunyda

ByHaze is more than just an artist—he is an architect of transformation.
A singer, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur, his work exists where artistry meets wellness, blending music, dance, affirmations, and community-centered creativity into spaces of healing and connection.

Rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu — “I am, because you are” — ByHaze invites audiences into an experience where music becomes medicine and performance becomes communion.

His latest self-directed documentary, Clovis Lane, is a deeply personal offering born from his own story of reunion, loss, and rebirth. Having navigated the trauma of his mother’s deportation and separation during childhood, ByHaze carried the hope of reconnection for years. When the two were finally reunited, he planned a trip to Jamaica to celebrate his mother’s 50th birthday — a journey that became far more profound than he ever imagined.

What began as a celebration transformed into sacred grounds for remembrance, mourning, and transformation. It was also the longest period he had ever spent with his mother before her passing — an experience that catapulted ByHaze into a new understanding of life, family, and community.

Through grief, he was reborn.
Through remembrance, he found peace.
And through Clovis Lane, he offers that same transformation to others.

Clovis Lane venerates his mother, her legacy, and the power of transformation that arises through grief — a visual reclamation of self that honors not only his journey, but the universal story of loss, love, and healing.

This is a film for him, for his mother, and for all of us—a cinematic exploration of how pain can become purposeful and how creativity can restore our shared humanity.
